High St Metropolis retail unit
A freehold retail unit at 42C High St, Auckland CBD, was sold at auction for $1.6m, at a yield of 5.78 per cent. Located at the base of the Metropolis apartment building, the 110sq m unit has two storage lockers and two CBD car parks. The sale was by Gawan Bakshi and Tony Allsop of Colliers International.
Te Aro Wellington building
A 2215 sq m three-level retail and office building on a 1245 sq m site at 90-104 Tory St, Te Aro, has sold for $5m at a 9 per cent yield through Grant Young, Bayleys Wellington. The building has nine tenancies and a seismic assessment of 85 per cent of New Building Standard.
East Tamaki industrial
An 843sq m industrial building on a 2153sq m site at 84 Lady Ruby Dr, East Tamaki, sold for $3.2m to an owner-occupier through Katie Wu, John Bolton and Roy Rudolph, Bayleys South Auckland. The building comprises clear-span 8m high warehousing and two levels of showroom and office accommodation, with only 36.5 per cent site coverage providing for future expansion.
Wiri high-stud warehouse
A 4167sq m industrial property at 12 Ha Crescent, Wiri, featuring a high-stud warehouse, massive canopy, minimal office space and north-facing concrete yards has sold for $11,150,00, at a yield of 4.57 per cent. The deal was brokered by Andrew Hooper and Hamish West of Colliers’ Highbrook Industrial office.
A 390sq m two-level character building on a 149sq m site at 81 Victoria Rd, Devonport, has sold for $1.55 million through Adam Watton and Adam Curtis, Bayleys North Shore. A ground floor beauty salon and studio apartment are producing annual rent of $68,872 with a further potential $25,000 from vacant upstairs office space.

A new Waikato childcare centre on an 18-year lease to an established national operator has sold for $4.1m representing a yield of 6 per cent. Colliers Hamilton brokers David Palmer and Justin Oliver brokered the sale of 6 Peria Rd, Matamata. The property comprises a newly built 567sq m childcare centre on a 3382sq m freehold site.
Glen Innes Taniwha
A 248sq m industrial building on a 429 sq m site with a Town Centre zoning (height limit 32.5m) at 233 Taniwha St, Glen Innes, sold vacant for $1.22m through Phil Haydock, Bayleys Auckland. More recently used as offices, the building has the potential to convert to retail or showroom space.
