The City Rail Link is a major transformational infrastructure project that will both revolutionise Auckland public transport and stimulate development, particularly close to the proposed new stations, including Aotea Station. On completion in 2024, Aotea Station is expected to be one of New Zealand’s busiest rail stations with over 13,000 passengers boarding or alighting during a two hour peak.
Auckland Council own the Site, which is located in the heart of the Auckland CBD (on the corner of Wellesley Street West and Mayoral Drive) and within the Aotea Quarter. Auckland Council is seeking a development partner to acquire the development rights and deliver its vision to transform Aotea Quarter into a vibrant central city precinct.
